OUR GOALS AND PHILOSOPHIES AS A COMPANY DEDICATED TO OLD-FASHIONED "CUSTOMER SERVICE"

Here at The Turntable Factory, we're proud of the fact that our website may look like it's straight out of the 1970's. We hope it conveys our underlying philosophies: We do business like it was done some 30 or 40 years ago. We are a fair & honest small business, doing something we love to do. Our pricing is more along the lines of what you would have expected to pay in, say, 1975. Our reputation and customer service are second to none. In this day and age of incompetance, non-caring workers, the total lack of loyalty and the proliferation of "superstores", offering ONLY a discount price and NOTHING ELSE, we hope to be a "breath of fresh air" to those that still appreciate the "old fashioned" business principles of days long past. We thank you for your patronage, and be assured that we'll strive to make your experiences with us pleasant ones!

Our ultimate goal is to help those in any way we possibly can, who want to play vinyl....whether someone is new to vinyl, rediscovering vinyl, or has been playing vinyl all along.

Since this started as a hobby in my teens, and grew to become a viable business, I have not forgotten my roots. We, as a company, know that there are other consumers "out there" who are also "turntable hobbyists".. As you will see from the pictures interspersed throughout this webpage, you can see that I, personally, have a rather large and eclectic personal collection of vintage electronics throughout my home... including (but certainly not limited to) turntables.

Whether by someone reading through our website for all it's valuable information, answering questions, giving advice, sending a party to a source for parts in order to repair their own machine.or "walking" a consumer through a "simple fix", it's all done quickly at no charge, and we are happy to accomodate. If it comes to us actually having a unit come in for repair, our prices are reasonable, our work is guaranteed, and we let a customer know an EXACT price before we begin work. We work at a pace where a customer repair is done within a few days of price approval, so this is ONE shop where you won't be waiting forever for your machine to be returned to you.

Our hope is to help a person get their machine up and running by while spending the least amount of money necessary on their part. When we feel a customer is, or could get, in over their heads, we will tell them so. After 30 years of repairing ONLY turntables, we tend to KNOW most of the mass-market machines very well, and know what it takes to make them run properly. As the old saying goes, it's all a matter of "experience, experience, experience".

We only recommend a repair when we feel from our vast experience, that a consumer will do more harm than good to attempt a "do it yourself" repair, or the repair is just something that cannot be done by inexperienced hands. Even going back to the 60's through the 80's, the "golden age" of turntables, most shops THEN were hesitant to take in turntables, especially "complicated" stacking record changers. The same rings true today, but even MORE so.

One of our main priorities, here at The Turntable Factory, is to save a worthwhile turntable from winding up in the trash. The fact that most every "mass market" turntable on the shelves today is "Made in China" junk, we want to do everything we can to help a consumer have his machine function "as new", and not have to resort to throwing away good money on a current, poorly made, replacement turntable, especially since we find it often winds up to be less expensive to repair what a consumer already has than to replace it, and the quality and features of the older turntables cannot be compared to what is now available.

We have a great reputation, we know our "stuff" and we're honest and fair. We also have been known to be able to repair the "unrepairable" We maintain a huge inventory of new and used parts for many of the more popular machines.

Knowing all of this, is there really any other service facility you'd rather have on your side?

Our feeling is:"An educated consumer is our best customer".

And, for those that wonder "what kind of vehicle would the owner of such a company like ours drive?"

Why, it would have to be an economical car from around the era of most of the turntables we work with!!!
